SUNSHINE, blue skies and clear waters greeted those who made their way to the North Dock in Llanelli this weekend for a damn good splash in the docks and a brisk run and cycle around the Llanelli coast road and Millennium Park.
Hundreds donned lycra or neoprene to take part in the triathlon, which has been a firm favourite with triathletes for a number of years.
The event has had some illustrious winners in Alex Matchett, Liam Lloyd, Helen Jenkins, Mark Jenkins and Oliver Simon.
Para Duathlon
16 competitors. Race winner was No 10 Oscar Kelly from East London Triathletes in a total time of 1hr 8min 34 secs. Category MV13
48 competitors in the Elite Female youth sprint Tri. Sophie Alden from Norwich won the event in a time of 1hr 3min 28secs
