RSPCA Cymru is urgently appealing for any witnesses who saw a “horrific” incident – which resulted in the death of a cat – to contact the animal welfare charity urgently.
CCTV appears to show two dogs attacking the cat on a driveway in Treseder Way, Caerau, Cardiff, before it is then kicked by an individual. The incident happened at around 8.15pm on Sunday, March 24.
RSPCA inspector Gemma Black has spoken of her shock after viewing the CCTV. Sadly the cat’s dead body was found shortly after this incident.
“It appears the cat has been kicked with brute force, like kicking a football, and there can be no excuse for this deliberate attack,” she said.
“We are urgently issuing this appeal to see if there are any witnesses to this incident – including anyone who may have seen this individual with his dogs in the area at this time, or anyone able to help us with our enquiries.”
Anyone with information is urged to please contact the RSPCA’s cruelty line on 0300 1234 999.
