Swansea Aquatics took on the very best of Welsh swimming in the Swim Wales Long-Course Championships at the Wales National Pool Swansea over the Easter weekend (Apr 19-22) .

Swimmers from 11-years-old plus raced in events ranging from 50m to 1500m in the Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, Medley and Relays.

Hayley Baker Head Coach of Swansea Aquatics said: “We built off the confidence of British Championships in the week, which produced outstanding swims.

“Swimmers qualified for World Championships in South Korea, which will be held in the Summer.

“Over the Easter weekend at Welsh Championships the trend continued with the club picking up 50 medals with  young and old contributing to the team’s success.

“Swansea Aquatics team picked up a total of 27 golds, 20 silvers and 13 bronzes celebrating a stellar performance to establish one of the strongest teams in Wales.

“We would like to thank all the coaching team, volunteers and swimmers involved in this success.”

The club now has 250 swimmers and it is celebrating its 100th year of existence.
