An 11-year-old boy has died after getting into difficulty in the sea at a beach in Pembrokeshire.
Zac Thompson, from Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire, died after an incident at the beach at nearby West Angle Bay.
Reports suggest that Zac was swimming near rocks with two others on Friday evening when he got into trouble.
Bystanders described a huge emergency services presence.
Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Police were called to West Angle Bay, Angle, Pembrokeshire, at 9.25pm on Friday, July 1, following reports a child had been rescued from the water after experiencing difficulties. The child, 11-year-old Zac Thompson from the Pembroke Dock area, was airlifted to hospital where he sadly passed away.”
