THE RETAIL fashion outlet ‘Select’ has gone into administration with the company reportedly looking to launch a Compulsory Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) imminently.
Select has around 1,800 employees at 169 stores including a large number of stores across Wales. It is owned by Turkish entrepreneur Cafer Mahiroglu.
The company reportedly turns over £77 million pa and caters for 18 to 35 year olds.
No redundancies have been announced and it has been reported that there are no plans for job losses despite this being one year after the retailer resorted to a CVA to try and cut its rent bill.
