There have been 462 new coronavirus cases recorded in the Hywel Dda Health Board area according to the latest figures today (Thursday, October 21).

The latest data shows there were 163 new cases in Carmarthenshire, 193 in Pembrokeshire and 106 in Ceredigion since the last report.

The total number of cases across the three counties now stands at 37,558 – 22,257 in Carmarthenshire, 10,308 in Pembrokeshire and 4,993 in Ceredigion.

There were three new Covid-related deaths recorded in the Hywel Dda area since the last report, with the total standing at 549 throughout the pandemic.

In total 4,240 new cases of coronavirus and 13 new Covid-related deaths have been reported across Wales bringing the national total to 412,534 cases and 6,063 deaths.

There have been 30,785 tests done across the country since the last report.

Across Wales 2,420,558 people have had their first dose of covid-19 vaccine and 2,238,258 have had their second dose and are fully vaccinated.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is no longer updating its vaccination reports with invitations for third ‘booster’ doses now going out to residents across the three counties in priority order.
