A very special ‘Penblwydd Hapus’ from Abersoch RNLI

ABERSOCH RNLI were delighted to welcome Jane Hewertson and her daughter to the lifeboat station to help celebrate Jane’s 70th birthday where she also presented them with a kind donation.

Jane has been an avid supporter of the RNLI for a number of years and it was her granddaughter, Leah Williams, who contacted the RNLI to ask if they could possibly assist in making the day extra special for her grandmother who she describes as their ‘biggest fan’.

Andy Vowell, Lifeboat Operations Manager, invited Jane to the lifeboat station (in accordance with current guidelines) where she was able to meet some of the volunteer crew before being presented with a signed photograph. Andy, who thanked her for her generous donation, said ‘It was a pleasure to meet Jane and her daughter on this special occasion and they were delighted to be able to help’.

Jane, who takes a keen interest in the RNLI, has visited many lifeboat stations over the years and she was thrilled to be invited along this evening prior to the crew heading out on a training exercise.
