Responding to the appointment of Leanne Wood to the independent Constitutional Commission to consider Wales’ future, Plaid Cymru Leader Adam Price MS said,
“I would like to extend my thanks to Leanne Wood on accepting her nomination to the independent Constitutional Commission on Wales’ future.
“I have no doubt that she will be a strong and effective voice on behalf of the wider independence movement. Her power to connect with people across Wales and across generations will be a huge asset to the Commission as it seeks to have the broadest possible national conversation on Wales’ constitutional future.
On her appointment, Leanne Wood said,
“With Scotland likely to determine its own future in the next few years, this is an opportunity for people in Wales to have the biggest conversation about our future as a nation that we have ever had.
“I’m glad to be playing a small part in this and look forward to engaging constructively with people in Wales – ensuring that the future of Wales remains firmly in Wales’ hands.
