NEIL Hamilton, AM for Mid & West Wales and UKIP Leader in Wales, is calling on his constituents to support their local hospices.
Mr Hamilton was speaking after attending a special event at the Senedd to mark Hospice Care Week from October 7-13.
He said: “I am an enthusiastic supporter of the wonderful work of Hospice UK and am delighted to help promote this national charity for palliative and end of life care.
“Hospice Care Week is the ideal time to remind us all of the immense contribution which hospices make to our communities and to be reminded of the valuable and important role they play.
“Hospices across Wales provide world class care and the backing of the local community is vital. I urge everyone to support initiatives by their local hospice and so help to maintain this invaluable service.”
Hospice UK works to ensure all adults and children living with a terminal or life-shortening illness receive the care and support they need, when they need it.
