ANGLE’S RNLI crew were requested by Milford Haven Coastguard at 08:50am to launch to a fishing boat with a fouled propeller off Great Castle Head near Lindsway bay.
Angle’s lifeboat launched and arrived on scene shortly after 9am to find the vessel attached to the bottom by its fishing gear. After checking it was found that all was okay onboard apart from the fouled propeller. The vessel wasn’t taking on any water and a tow was passed over, the gear was lifted, and the lifeboat proceeded to tow the fishing vessel to Neyland Marina.
Once arriving at the entrance to the Marina, the fishing vessel was then taken alongside the lifeboat and put safely alongside the fisherman’s pontoon around 10:30am.
With no further assistance required, the lifeboat was released and went back to the boathouse.
