Appeal for witnesses following assault on train at Cardiff Central

Detectives investigating a fight on-board a train stopped at Cardiff Central are appealing for further information.

Just before 10.30pm on Sunday 1 May, a man on a service due to depart Cardiff Central station walked through the train and pushed past another man.

The other man confronted him, and he proceeded to punch him multiple times – causing bruising on his face and swelling to his eye.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident to assist their enquiries.

Witnesses, or anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 656 of 01/05/22.
