Applications for fourteen houses in Blaenporth village

TWO plans from the same developer could see 14 homes added to Blaenporth village.

Applications have been submitted to Ceredigion County Council by Cartrefi DERI Homes – one for five dwellings on land off Tan yr Eglwys Lane and another for nine homes on adjacent land.

Two patches of land, one measuring around 0.75 hectares and another 0.35 hectares, to the west of Tan yr Egwlys Lane have been earmarked for the houses with access off the A487.

Extant permission for five residential dwellings exists on the site with minor changes proposed as part of the current application, planning documents state.

One application is for three, three-bedroom bungalows, and two, three-bedroom affordable houses.

A second application proposes nine more homes, next to those listed above, with a mix of housing types including four detached, three-bedroom bungalows and two, four-bedroom houses, three of which will be affordable homes with three bedrooms.

Comments can be made on the application for five homes until August 27 and the nine unit application until September 9, via the Ceredigion County Council website.
