ARMED police have attended an incident in Elizabeth Street Llanelli today, Saturday (Jan 18).

Former reporter for Llanelli Online Iwan Lewis who was at the scene told us that at least ten officers attended the incident, with two armed response vehicles and one van.

The incident is believed to have taken place at approximately 1:55pm.

A man was apprehended at the scene and taken away in a police vehicle. Iwan Lewis said: “It all happened very quickly. The man was surrounded by armed officers and his head was bleeding.”

Dyfed-Powys Police have been contacted for comment.
