AT 3.32 pm on Monday (Oct 19) 2020 the U.K. Coastguard at Holyhead paged for the volunteer crew members of the R N L I Beaumaris to launch and assist a motor vessel with engine failure near Caernarfon.
The Beaumaris lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington was launched at 3.40 pm and made her way towards the casualty
However by the time the lifeboat was by Bangor pier the Coastguard informed the lifeboat that the engine on the casualty craft had been restarted.
The Coastguard instructed the lifeboat to wait in the vicinity of Bangor pier pending the arrival at Caernarfon of the Mobile Coastguard Rescue Team from Bangor.
It was then confirmed that the craft had made her own way into Caernarfon and that the assistance of the lifeboat would not be required.
The lifeboat was released to return to her station arriving at 4.50 pm to be refuelled and cleaned.
