PUBLIC libraries in Ceredigion will reopen in early June on an appointment only basis as coronavirus infection rates continue to improve.

Ceredigion County Council would like to thank it’s residents for their heroic effort and for following the rules to keep everyone safe.

From Tuesday, 01 June 2021, the Local Authority’s libraries will reopen to allow people to browse for books, use public computers and collect books.

Before attending, people will need to book a slot in advance. Slots of 30 minutes will be available to browse, return and collect books and slots of 45 minutes will be available to use the public computers. You can book your slot by calling your local library, or by e-mailing library@ceredigion.gov.uk / llyfrgell@ceredigion.gov.uk. Contact numbers and opening times are available on our website: Ceredigion Library

People are reminded to remain vigilant and careful and wear masks and keep a 2 metre social distance at all times.

The Click and Collect service will continue for customers that do not wish to enter the library, this will be provided inside the front door and by appointment only. The mobile library vans will also continue with a deliver only service for vulnerable and housebound customers.

The situation is dependent on maintaining low coronavirus numbers in the county and the Council may have to make adjustments at short notice in the event of a localised outbreak or general increase in cases.

Thank you for your continued efforts and understanding during this challenging period.

Together, we can keep Ceredigion safe.
