Changes made to Trap Show after equine flu outbreak

TRAP Show has issued some advice ahead this year’s show. The organisers said: “Having monitored the current equine flu situation and in view of recent local outbreaks the decision was reluctantly taken by the Show committee to have no horse classes at this year’s Trap Agricultural Show on Saturday (Jul 27).

“All other sections i.e sheep, goats, poultry, vintage, pet dogs, domestic and horticulture will be held as scheduled along with extended sport and ‘It’s a Knockout’ suitable for adults and children. Together with the caterpillar challenge and craft demonstrations, there will still be plenty to see and do at this most spectacular of venues which has Carreg Cennen Castle and the Black Mountains as a backdrop. The show field will be re-organised and some slight alterations to the time table will be made so rest assured, a great day out awaits you.

“Also don’t forget that the evening entertainment will include a Quoits tournament, hog roast and live entertainment with the Radnorshire Twurzels. A free taxi shuttle will run from Llandeilo (Crescent Rd car park) at 8.00, 9.00 and 10.00 pm. For further details tel 01558 823213 / 823265”
