Couple’s ‘Minimoon’ woes at local holiday park

A Llanelli couple who stayed at Park Dean’s Pendine resort have claimed that the caravan they stayed in was in a ‘disgusting’ condition and that the food they received in the restaurant was ‘gritty’.

The couple and their three children stayed at the resort from Friday 11th October until Sunday 13th October.

They claim that they arrived on the Friday evening  and checked in a bit late. What they found they say was  ‘disgusting’. They claim that there was blood on the toilet wall, mould in the kettle and mould on the walls.

The couple also claimed that the the caravan was ‘falling apart’.

Speaking to Llanelli Online recently the couple said that their young son  had also caught his toe on a damaged sofa. Their other young son they claim, hurt himself on a loose tile in the pool. Asked if anyone had responded to the accident Mrs. Iljiazi said that the lifeguard kept putting the tile back into place.

Mrs. Iljazi claims that on the night they arrived they went to the restaurant where they were served ‘gritty’ food.

Mrs. Iljazi said: “We left and went to reception to complain. We were given a £5 per person voucher to spend back at the restaurant.

“When we complained about the state of the caravan we were asked if we had cleaned it. When we said yes the rep said that the matter had been rectified.

“We  went home early on the Sunday and contacted the head office. We have been shoved from pillar to post and they offered to place £30 in our bank account, which we refused to accept.

“The holiday cost us £148 and the meal just under £50.”

We contacted Park Dean Resorts to ask if the claims had been investigated and if this  was usual for Park Dean at this site?

A spokesperson for Pendine Sands Holiday Park said:

“We always want our guests to have the best possible experience at our parks and we’re sorry that we didn’t meet our high standards during the Iljazi family’s stay. Our park manager spoke with Mrs Iljazi at the time and we have offered her a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill to apologise.”

The couple sent us the following photos of what they claim were conditions in the caravan.
