Court appearance for man charged with assaulting emergency services staff

A Llanelli man has been charged with assaulting members of the emergency services who were attending to an incident in the town on Sunday, (May 12).

In a statement issued today, Tuesday (May 12) a spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police was called to Llanelli Ambulance Station at around 11pm on Sunday, May 12 2019, following reports that ambulance staff had been assaulted while assisting a member of the public, who had been also been assaulted.

“Brandon James John, aged 35, of Gorsedd, Llanelli, has been charged with two counts of assault by beating an emergency worker, assault by beating, and criminal damage, in connection to the incident. He appeared at Llanelli Magistrates Court on May 14 and was bailed to return to Llanelli Magistrates Court on June 12 2019.”
