A request to launch was received from UK Coastguard at 12.19pm after a report was received from members of the public that a small RIB had lost power and was adrift in the river Dee near Bagillt, with one person on board.
Flint RNLI lifeboat launched at Greenfield and proceeded to the casualty vessel. Once on scene, the lifeboat took the vessel under tow back to Greenfield Dock, where Coastguard officers and lifeboat crew assisted in mooring the vessel securely.
A Flint RNLI spokesperson said:
‘We urge people to always wear a lifejacket, carry a means for calling for help and check the weather and tide times before heading out on the water.’
