Dyfed-Powys Police appeal for information after 89-year-old woman burgled in Milford Haven

AN 89-year-old woman has been burgled in Milford Haven and Dyfed-Powys Police are urgently appealing for any information to help catch the suspect.

At around 5.30am on Sunday, (Dec 1), someone entered the elderly lady’s home on Marble Hall Road, woke her up, demanded she hand over property and then left with the victim’s large blue purse, which contained around £20 and a bank card.

The suspect is described as 5ft 10inches tall and skinny. It is not known if the suspect was a man or woman as they were wearing a black scarf over their face. The suspect was also wearing a dark grey jacket and had a backpack.

The victim was not hurt but is very shaken by the experience.

Officers are carrying out house to house enquiries in the area and following all other lines of enquiry.

Temporary Sergeant Haydon Mathias said: “I would like to assure residents in Milford Haven that we are following all lines of enquiry to find this person as swiftly as possible.

“Targeting an elderly lady in her own home like this is despicable and we will not rest until we find the person responsible.

“I would also urge residents to be vigilant and to make sure your windows and doors are locked and secure.

“If anyone locally knows who has done this I urge you to please, do the right thing and come forward with information.”

Anyone with information that could help officers with their investigation is asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police, quoting reference DP-20191201-065.
