From Chief Constable Dr Richard Lewis:
“It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
“As crown servants, it is a particularly poignant moment for us here at Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police.
I send our deepest condolences to the King and the royal family at this very sad time.
“Flags across our estate will be flown at half-mast to mark the national period of mourning.”
Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn:
“It is with great sadness that this evening, we learned of the passing of Her Majesty the Queen.
“Queen Elizabeth II ruled for 70 years, longer than any other monarch in British history.
“After a lifetime of royal service, on behalf of all here at both Dyfed-Powys Police and my office, I wish to thank her for her dedication and commitment to her role within the monarchy and offer our deepest condolences to the royal family.
“May she rest in peace.”
