COMMENTING on the latest Labour Market Statistics, Minister for Economy, Transport and North Wales, Ken Skates said:

“The latest Labour Market Statistics show unemployment in Wales remains at very low levels and this is testament to our proactive work as a Welsh Government to support our economy through what have already been difficult times.

“We recognise that the Coronavirus pandemic and the recent flooding are placing new and unprecedented challenges on our economy. We will be keeping in regular contact with banks, businesses, trade unions and representative groups as this fast moving situation continues to evolve and will build on measures already announced such as the £200m business rate relief and three month capital repayment holidays for Development Bank customers. We are absolutely committed to providing the proactive and responsive package of support that we know Welsh business and our wider economy needs.”
