ENVIRONMENTAL protest group Extinction Rebellion has today, Monday (Jul 15) begun a protest in Cardiff as part of a five-day national campaign that will see similar protests in Glasgow, Bristol, Leeds and London.
In a statement issued earlier South Wales Police said:
“South Wales Police will be doing everything we can to minimise disruption but we appreciate that it only requires a relatively small number of protestors to cause issues in the city centre.
“We are aware of delays to public transport across the city and we are liaising closely with Cardiff Council.
“Please consider alternative routes as road closures remain in place.”
