Family pay tribute to 56-year-old Paul Brain who died in Swansea road traffic collision

THE family of man who died following a road traffic collision in Swansea have paid tribute to him.

Paul Brain, aged 56 was a pedestrian who died following a collision with a Scania lorry which occurred at approximately 8.05pm on September 7, on Wellington Street, Swansea.

His family have issued the following tribute:

“We as a family are devastated at the loss of our Paul, he was well known throughout Manselton as for many years our mother ran a shop, Margaret’s Newsagents.

“Paul was a huge Swansea City fan and followed them all of his life, he met John Toshack on one occasion and had his back signed by him, he was such a fan he had this signature tattooed onto him.

“Paul loved his tattoos, he had well over two hundred tattoos and would call his body a work of art.

“Paul had an absolute heart of gold, he loved to wind people up until you took the bait and then he would start to laugh and all was forgiven.

“Paul’s partner of five years passed away last year, she was his soul mate and he would always say they were the best five years of his life, we are now taking comfort that they will have been reunited and no doubt sharing their favourite bottle of wine together again.”

We continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the vehicle or the pedestrian in the moments prior to it, to contact 101, quoting occurrence 2000327581.
