FISHGUARD RNLI’s inshore lifeboat was alerted Saturday (June 20) as a 14-foot fishing boat was reported drifting towards the Fishguard harbour wall.
The small fishing boat with two persons on board had suffered engine failure and was quickly drifting towards the harbour wall by the brisk breeze.
The inshore lifeboat, with its three crew, was quickly on scene and intercepted the small boat and took it under tow to the safety of Goodwick public slipway and then returned to base.
