THE staff and children of Five Roads School have held their own Remembrance Service in the village.
Head of the school Eira Rumble said: “Every class from Ysgol Pum Heol visited the memorial at Five Roads today for a special remembrance service.
“The children prepared in advance by painting poppies on stones which were laid along with the school wreath.
“The children usually take part in a village remembrance service which is obviously not possible this year but we didn’t want the children to miss out on an important experience to commemorate those who fought and died for us.
“Usually in attendance would have been local county councillor Jim Jones. He is at present in hospital and all staff, parents and pupils wish Jim a speedy recovery.”
