Football League seeks new General Secretary

THE CARMARTHENSHIRE Football League are looking for a new General Secretary as their current one, Colin Jenkins, is retiring after 15 years in the job.

An ex player and referee, Colin has devoted his life to football and was secretary of Porth Tywn Suburbs when they progressed from the local football ranks to the high echelons of the Welsh League in the mid 1990’s and early 2000’s before becoming Carmarthenshire League Secretary in 2004.

As Colin has now decided to hang up his boots and pen, the League Executive Committee are looking for a suitable candidate to carry on Colin’s sterling work in the role!

Applications are welcome by sending an e mail to League Chairman, Richard Barnes at richard.barnes400@gmail.com with a covering letter and an up to date CV.

Suitable candidates should ideally have some knowledge of football administration and have IT Keyboard Skills and be conversant with social media and use of apps.

The closing date for applications is Saturday 1st June 2019.

The League are also considering applications for the position of Match Day Administrator which would involve liaising with clubs on match days regarding postponements and the recording of final scores.
