Michael Coiner is a Swansea University student who hails from Idaho in the United States of America.
Michael is currently studying a masters degree in communications, media practice and public relations.
She joined us for part of her studies, which will involve helping us with our website and social media.
Without giving too much away Michael will be helping to launch a brand new element of our free independent community news service.
Working from our office and remotely Michael has already come up with some great ideas and plans, which we will share with you later this year.
Michael comes with plenty of experience having gained a B.A. in Communication Studies at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. She also worked as a web writer at KPTV in Portland, Oregon and as a social media marketing coordinator for Arena USA.
She is a keen sports person and was an internal communications coordinator for Sun Valley Resort before coming to the UK. She is an avid swimmer, runner, and history fan as well as a huge animal lover.
Michael is already enjoying our location in Mynyddygarreg Carmarthenshire where from the office you can see red kites skimming the rooftops.
The office looks out onto the mountain and a field which is home to three lammas, two goats, a number of gees with their goslings, chickens and a noisy cockerel one can hear occasionally on the podcasts.
