Residents evacuated from their homes as a precautionary measure due to a police incident have now been allowed to return to their properties.
Armed police were deployed alongside local units to Trinity Street, Gorseinon, following reports of a domestic incident.
A 41-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possessing a prohibited weapon. The man was also arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.
Both are currently in custody.
Bomb disposal units were also deployed to the scene as a precautionary measure to assist in a search of an address.
A cordon to prevent entry to the street has now been lifted.
The public – and in particular local residents temporarily displaced from their homes – are thanked for their cooperation and patience during the incident, allowing officers to ensure their safety.
