Haircut and drinks in the street cost Llanelli man £811

Going for a haircut and drinking cans in the street has led to a Llanelli man having to pay £811 in fines and costs.

The court heard that on 27.04.2020 David Scott Nicklin of 146 Station Road, Llanelli at Great Western Crescent, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire without reasonable excuse, during the emergency period, left or remained away from the place where he was living, in that he was going to a friend’s house for a haircut whilst drinking cans in the street, and he did not have any other reasonable excuse for being in that location. Contrary to regulations 8(1) and 12(1)(b) & (4) of the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (Wales) Regulations 2020.

Nicklin was fined  £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and costs of £85.00.
