THE Head of Mudiad Meithrin Dr Gwenllian Lansdown Davies has expressed her concerns that those in the early years childcare and education sector are not getting the financial support they have been promised by Welsh Government.
Dr Davies said that the application process and criteria was difficult and unclear with a variety of stipulations, which could leave a large proportion of childcare providers out of business when the restrictions have been lifted.
Dr Davies raised concerns that the loss of some businesses would leave a gap in the provision of childcare for people who would be desperate to get back to work.
Dr Davies said that she would be meeting with Welsh Government officials to discuss her concerns.
