There have been 643 new coronavirus cases in the Hywel Dda Health Board area in the last 48 hours according to today’s figures (Monday, November 1).

The latest data from Public Health Wales shows there were 263 new cases in Carmarthenshire, 280 in Pembrokeshire and 100 in Ceredigion since the last report.

Data reported on a Monday is for a 48 hour period and likely to be double the usual 24 hour figures.

The total number of cases across the three counties now stands at 41,282 – 23,892 in Carmarthenshire, 11,785 in Pembrokeshire and 5,605 in Ceredigion.

There was one new Covid-related death recorded in the Hywel Dda area since the last report, with the total standing at 568 throughout the pandemic.

In total 4,983 new cases of coronavirus and 17 new Covid-related deaths have been reported across Wales bringing the national total to 442,953 cases and 6,167 deaths.

There have been 37,334 tests done across the country since the last report.

Across Wales 2,445,438 people have had their first dose of covid-19 vaccine and 2,244,276 have had their second dose and are fully vaccinated.

‘Booster’ doses have been given to 432,716 people and 21,814 people have received a three dose primary course of covid-19 vaccine.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is no longer updating its vaccination reports with invitations for third ‘booster’ doses now going out to residents across the three counties in priority order.
