There have been 491 new coronavirus cases in the Hywel Dda Health Board area in the last 48 hours according to today’s figures (Monday, November 15).

The latest data from Public Health Wales shows there were 287 new cases in Carmarthenshire, 166 in Pembrokeshire and 38 in Ceredigion since the last report.

Data reported on a Monday is for a 48 hour period and likely to be double the usual 24 hour figure.

The total number of cases across the three counties now stands at 44,804 – 25,809 in Carmarthenshire, 12,923 in Pembrokeshire and 6,072 in Ceredigion.

There were three further Covid-related deaths recorded in the Hywel Dda area since the last report, with the total standing at 593 throughout the pandemic.

In total 4,520 new cases of coronavirus and 13 further Covid-related deaths have been reported across Wales bringing the national total to 475,375 cases and 6,295 deaths.

There have been 39,771 tests done across the country since the last report.

Across Wales 2,458,695 people have had their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine and 2,253,134 have had their second dose.

Booster doses have been given to 626,012 people and 35,940 people have received a three-dose primary course of Covid-19 vaccine.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is no longer updating its vaccination reports with invitations for third ‘booster’ doses now going out to residents across the three counties in priority order.
