Llandudno RNLI have paid their respects on Emergency Services Day.
Captain Marcus Elliott, Lifeboat Operations Manager, led a small group of Llandudno Lifeboat Crew in a two minutes silence at the boathouse.
Emergency Services Day began at 9am on 9th September (9th hour of the 9th day of the 9th month) with a two minutes’ silence to remember the more than 7,500 members of the emergency services who have been killed as a result of their duties.
Volunteers are an essential part of the emergency services family and they play a core part in keeping Britain safe. 999 volunteer roles include Special Constables, Retained Firefighters, NHS Community Responders, St John’s Ambulance, RNLI, Search and Rescue and Coastguard volunteers.
