Llanelli company’s Santa special raises over £1k for British Heart Foundation

STAFF at Cathedral Hygiene in Llanelli have raised a wonderful total £1,130 for British Heart Foundation Cymru (BHF) to help beat heartbreak forever.  They held a team fundraising event in the summer and enjoyed the day so much that they  decided to do another Christmas event. They dressed in Santa costumes and held two collections at St Elli Centre, and also Parc Trostre retail  park to raise vital funds for BHF Cymru to help beat heartbreak forever.

The BHF funds research into heart and circulatory conditions, including heart diseases, stroke and vascular dementia, along with risk factors including diabetes.  Chris Wilkes Manager at Cathedral Hygiene said ‘We are really happy with the amount raised for BHF Cymru and I would like to thank everyone who has helped and supported this worthwhile cause. Thank you to our Telesales Appointment Manager Stephanie Stokes who organised the charity events which has raised a considerable amount for the charity. It was a wonderful day which everyone enjoyed and it was great to help a worthwhile cause.’

Jayne Lewis BHF Cymru’s Fundraising Manager for South West Wales said “I’m so grateful for all the support received  from Cathedral Hygiene throughout the year. It has been wonderful to work with them throughout the year.  I  would also like to thank St Elli Centre and Parc Trostre Retail Park for allowing Cathedral Hygiene to collect on their premises and also I would like to thank everyone who donated.  Heart and circulatory diseases kill one in four people in Wales which is devastating. BHF Cymru is funding pioneering research, to find vital treatments for people living with these conditions.   Too many lives are lost in Wales each year, and we’re determined to do everything we can to help the 375,000 people across Wales who are fighting a daily battle with heart and circulatory disease.  Thanks to the support of all the Colleagues at Cathedral Hygiene, BHF can continue to fund research into these conditions.   If your Company would like to help BHF Cymru help beat heartbreak forever, please contact lewisja@bhf.org.uk  or 01554 891 500 or go to www.bhf.org.uk
