Llanelli Conservatives select candidate to fight General Election campaign

LLANELLI Conservatives have selected their candidate Tamara Reay to represent them at the General Election on December 12th 2019.

Growing up in Swindon Tamara was the first person in her family to go to University. She then enjoyed a business career with senior roles at companies including Sainsbury’s and Abbey National.
Tamara’s husband and her son moved back to Wiltshire in 2007 and are very active in their local community. She is a founding trustee, and Chair, of Sunflowers at Grafton, a not-for-profit children’s nursery which offers fantastic local childcare and has created over 20 jobs.

Her priority for the constituency is to encourage investment so residents can benefit from well paid, high-quality jobs with the right training so that everyone can achieve their potential.

Speaking of the appointment Tamara said:

“To be given the opportunity to stand for the Llanelli seat and give them the chance to vote for someone who, like them, voted to leave the EU and respects that result, is a true honour.

“The Labour Party has abandoned the hard-working people of Llanelli with their candidate voting for a delay to Brexit time and again.

“Under Boris Johnson, we’re finally able to deliver on the result of the referendum in 2016 and after that, we can get on with the rest of the country’s priorities.”
