YEAR 10 student, Lily Mellar from Bryngwyn School in Llanelli has achieved ‘an outstanding achievement’ by being selected as a Sports Gold Young Ambassador for Carmarthenshire.
The process in selection involved applying online and attending an interview.
Lily’s role will include delivering the Young Ambassador outcomes to the whole of Carmarthenshire.
She is one of 6 Gold Young Ambassadors in the County of Carmarthenshire and will work closely with the Sport Development team to organise events.
Her role will also involve promoting PE across the county. She will work closely with the Silver Young Ambassadors within her school.
Bryngwyn School staff said: “She is an absolute asset and has done so much for the PE department.”
