PASSERS-BY at Llanerch may have wondered quite what was going on today Sunday, (Jun 9) as Alice, The Mad Hatter and numerous other characters from the book by Lewis Carroll gathered on the riverbank.
Plenty of rabbit holes along the way and a lot of other wildlife for that matter; hundreds of ducks, yellow ones, all floating down the river.
The fire brigade were on hand as were the Sea Cadets as a bouncy castle filled with air.
Tables were decked with food of all sorts and families gathered to eat picnics on makeshift dining areas a-la cloth on the grass.
This was a community event with families enjoying the great outdoors with some entertainment thrown in.
The organisers were supported by Cllr Rob James, David Hurford, Llanelli Town Council and Llanelli Rural Council.
Dennis Lynch provided live music and the fire brigade went along with a tender for the children to see.
The organisers said that they hoped to make this a regular event.
