AT around 12.40am on Wednesday (Dec, 4) Gwent Police received reports of concern for the welfare of a dog in Chepstow. Officers attended and a dog was sadly found deceased inside a property.
A 37-year-old man from the Chepstow area was arrested on 4th December, and he has since been charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal under the Animal Welfare Act 2006. He will now appear in court.
