DESPITE attempts to find a way forward to its difficulties with a Compulsory Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) the retailer Mothercare has announced that it will file notices of intent to appoint administrators with the court today, Monday (Nov 4).
The action will impact the UK retail business of which there are 79 stores and will place hundreds of jobs at risk. The retailer shut down 55 stores in June of last year.
It is another blow for the High Street and a familiar story of consumers turning to online shopping.
