A multi-agency search was carried out along the coast at Llanelli following a call to police reporting concern for a man seen running towards the sea.
The incident was graded as a high risk missing person, and units – including the dog unit – were deployed to the area to carry out an extensive search of the beach and sand dunes.
The Coastguard and RNLI assisted in the search, and all reasonable and proportionate enquiries were conducted. Despite an extensive search of land and sea, nobody was located and the search was stood down.
Police have not received any reports of a missing person that could be linked to the call.
