RESPONDING to the news that the first people to get the coronavirus vaccine in Wales will get the jab on Tuesday, Plaid Cymru Shadow Minister for Local Government Delyth Jewell MS said,
“A vaccine brings with it hope – hope that this pandemic will soon be behind us. But there is some way to go yet until we’re out of the woods and it’s crucial the Government get the vaccination roll-out right.
“One of the most vulnerable groups identified in this pandemic were care home residents. Care homes suffered at the start of the pandemic with limited access to testing and a lack of PPE. They cannot be left behind again and it is quite frankly alarming that the inability to vaccinate care home residents remains as an unresolved issue. This needs a major re-think on the Government’s part.
