A plan for 19 homes available for social rent to be built near Aberystwyth was deferred for further information.
Ceredigion County Council’s development control committee agreed to officer requests for a deferment at its meeting on October 9.
A full planning application from Wales and West Housing Association for residential development at Pen y Banc, Penrhyncoch is recommended for approval.
The plan was brought to the committee at the request of local member Cllr Dai Mason who had received more than 50 letters of objection.
Trefeurig Community Council also recorded its objection on the grounds that it considered there were too many units and that would “change the character of the village.”
Reducing the number of homes to allow for bigger gardens and more parking space was suggested, along with a green amenity area and pavement linking the development with the village.
