Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a serious assault which took place at Garth Vaughan, Guilsfield, at around 3.30pm on Sunday, (Sep 8).
A man aged in his 60s was airlifted to hospital with serious head and neck injuries, which are being described as life changing.
A 48-year-old man from the Welshpool area has been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection to the incident. He remains in police custody at this time.
There will be an increased police presence in the area today (Sept 9), as officers carry out house-to-house enquiries.
