AT approximately 12:30am on Sunday, 29th November, 2020, police were called to Cromwell Street following a serious assault at an address.
A 19 year-old man sustained a serious but non-life threatening puncture injury and is currently in a stable condition in hospital.
An investigation into the incident is now underway.
Two men, 27 and 45, were arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody – those involved are understood to be known to one another.
It is believed that there were a number of people at the address at the time of the incident and anybody who has information about what happened who has not yet spoken to officers is urged to make contact.
A knife has been recovered by officers investigating the incident and a scene is being preserved at the address.
