Police raids target illegal drug suppliers in Carmarthenshire

TUESDAY (Oct 6) started with a bang for some residents in Carmarthenshire.

One resident in the Llwynhendy area of Llanelli who did not wish to be named said that they witnessed large numbers of police in the area accessing properties and taking away vehicles. The resident said that police had forced their way into some properties and made arrests.

We contacted Dyfed-Powys Police for a comment. A spokesperson said: “Officers will be conducting a number of pre-planned warrants throughout Carmarthenshire this week, targeting the supply and use of illegal drugs.

“The sale or misuse of drugs will not be tolerated by Dyfed-Powys Police.

“This operation follows concerns raised by members of the community, and we would like to thank local people for their continued support.

“If you have concerns about suspicious activity in your area, please contact us.”
