Public invited to share thoughts on new health centre

RESIDENTS in the Gwendraeth Valley are invited to take part in three public drop-in events to share their thoughts on the health board’s plans for a new health and wellbeing centre at Cross Hands.

As part of their commitment to continuous engagement with our local communities, residents will have the opportunity to come and speak with health officials on the following dates:

  • Penygroes Memorial Hall, Waterloo Road, Penygroes SA14 7NP / 4pm-6pm on Tuesday, 2 July 2019
  • Tumble Hall, Heol Y Neuadd, Tumble SA14 7DJ / 4pm-6pm on Monday, 8 July 2019
  • Cross Hands Working Mens’ Club, 41 Llandeilo Road, Cross Hands SA14 6RD / 4pm-6pm on Tuesday 9 July 2019

Rhian Dawson, Interim County Director and Commissioner for Carmarthenshire, said: “Following a number of similar discussions at the start of the year, our local communities in the Gwendraeth Valley have told us that they would like to have further opportunities to talk about our plans for local health and care provision and to see our designs for the new Cross Hands Health and Wellbeing Centre.

“So we’re pleased to once again extend an invitation to anyone who would like to drop in at one of these three events and speak with us about the healthcare issues that matter the most to them. We will continue to reach out to people including our staff, patients, stakeholders, the organisations we work with and the wider population in line with our commitment to continuous engagement.”

Further events will be held across each of the health board’s three counties soon to continuously engage with their population.
