A ROAD traffic accident occurred at approximately 13.56 hours, Saturday, (Nov 9) 2019, on Penprys Road near Llanelli.
Two 14-year-old girls were out enjoying a ride when a car is alleged to have driven into the back end of one of their ponies.
The incident was reported to Dyfed-Powys Police at 14.12 hours by a witness.
At 15.10 hours Dyfed Powys Police attended the scene and provided the details of the driver to the owner of the pony and asked for the owner of the pony’s details in return.
A vet attended the pony and provided veterinary attention.
The rider of the pony sought medical attention.
The driver of the car was reported to be uninjured. There was no reported damage to the vehicle involved.
Dyfed-Powys Police provided the following statement: “Police received a report of an incident which had occurred at approximately 2 pm on Sunday 9th November 2019 on Penprysg Road, Llanelli, involving two vehicles and a horse and rider.
“No injuries and no damage were reported to either vehicles, horse or rider. There were no independent witnesses or dashcam footage of the incident. All parties details exchanged details, no further police action was required at the time.”
