EVERY week planning applications are lodged with Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council.

Planning officers mostly decide them using delegated powers, but some go in front of councillors on Blaenau Gwent’s planning committee for them to decide.

Those that end up in front of the planning committee are usually larger or more contentious applications.

Here are some of the applications submitted to Blaenau Gwent during the week starting Monday, May 16.

Submitted on May 16: A full planning application has been lodged with Blaenau Gwent to build a three-bedroom detached house at land next to Palms Caddick Row in Blaina.

The agents are Building Design and Blaenau Gwent planners are expected to decide the application by July 10.

Submitted on May 16: A full planning application has been lodged with Blaenau Gwent to change the use to car repair garage, including servicing, tyre bay and MOT centre at Aberbeeg Tyres and Service Station Commercial Road Aberbeeg.

The agent is Mark Parker and Blaenau Gwent planners are expected to decide the application by July 10.

Submitted on May 9: A full planning application was lodged with Blaenau Gwent to build a new dwelling and detached garage at land next near White House Farm, Primrose Lane, Rassau, Ebbw Vale.

The agent is Buckle Chamberlain and Blaenau Gwent planners are expected to decide the application by July 3.

Submitted on May 20: A non-material amendment planning application has been lodged with Blaenau Gwent planners for additional parking space for plot 39 of a proposed residential development at Northgate Land, Steelworks Road, Ebbw Vale.

The extra room at this plot would allow the infrastructure for an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging point to be installed there.

The agent is Mathew Worton of Davies Homes and Blaenau Gwent planners are expected to decide the application by June 16.
