THE Royal Welsh Digital Show continues into day 3. Here are some of the events that are happening at the Royal Welsh Digital Show today, Wednesday (Jul 22).
10:00AM – Dream Bigger: Challenging Girls to Think Differently
During this NatWest Dream Bigger conversation, you’ll hear about a programme that focusses on developing transferrable entrepreneurial skills in 16-18-year-old females across Wales.
The Dream Bigger programme is aimed at creating a generation of strong, empowered women of the future by inspiring young women to understand their potential and to strive to achieve in their chosen area of interest.
The aim is to drive confidence in preparation for the future world of work and impact the percentage of women who intend to start a business.
12.30PM – The Red Meat Food Chain: What Will it Look Like in Future?
Never has our food chain been more in focus than it has over the last three months.
Often complex and vulnerable, the red meat sector is no exception. This seminar will concentrate on lessons learnt over the past few months and what we need to do move forward as an industry.
It brings together Wyn Evans, NFU Cymru Livestock Board Chairman, a sheep and beef producer from the heart of Ceredigion, Chris Dodds, Executive Secretary of the Livestock Auctioneers Association Ltd, Norman Bagley, Policy Director for the Association of Independent Meat Suppliers (AIMS), and Nina Pritchard, Head of Sustainable and Ethical Sourcing at McDonald’s.
Between them they have an in-depth knowledge of the food chain from farm to fork and a clear vision of where we need to go in future. Join us to listen to short presentations from each and there will be an opportunity for questions.
3:00PM – Welsh Beef: Know your Ribeye from your Flank!
The vast majority of the population eat beef. But did you know about the wide range of different cuts -some of them very economical – that you can use to create fabulous meals?
A professional butcher, HCC cook Elwen Roberts, and king of the barbecue Chris Roberts offer some tasty tips.
